Politically Inspired Action

Mountain View Votes to Raise the Minimum Wage to $15 by 2018! Photo by Michelle Le

We are a collective of people learning, dialoguing, and taking action, based in Mountain View, California. We seek to engage with each other as politically inspired citizens in dialogue as well as create change in our local community. We focus on addressing issues of economic inequality and social justice. We believe meaningful change happens on a local level when we come together in community and look at the issues that impact all of our lives. Our book club and salons involve conscious and collaborative dialogue. The associated action group in Mountain View works on local issues of the minimum wage, affordable housing, and brings in speakers to address any social justice related issues that face our community.

Working Partnerships USA

Working Partnerships USA is a community-labor organization dedicated to addressing the root causes of inequality for workers and communities of color in today’s economy. We use research and policy campaigns, civic engagement and leadership development, and community-labor organizing strategies to build the capacity of workers and their communities to lead and govern. Born in the heart of Silicon Valley, Working Partnerships’ model envisions our social change effort as an innovation laboratory for new policy and organizing ideas which can be exported and scaled with movement partners across the country.

Fool’s Mission

Fools Mission is based on a simple theme: that we will achieve social justice only when people from all walks of life are sharing stories, meals, and other significant life events together. Inspired by the Faithful Fools Street Ministry in San Francisco (see faithfulfools.org), Fools Mission is intentionally multicultural. http://www.foolsmission.org/about-us/

Santa Clara Green Party
